As the world’s most densely populated town with in excess of forty six,000 folks for every sq. mile (virtually twice that of New York City), Manila is reaching its breaking point. But, the cash of the Philippines is nevertheless expected to grow by much more than 3 million folks by 2025. And with the predicted development comes a host of worries. Manila may possibly be the Southeast Asian nation’s business enterprise hub, but financial disparity plagues the town as spiking land price ranges make housing unaffordable for laborers who receive meager wages.

Going for walks close to Manila specially inside of the malls and other establishments, there are many real-estate corporations advertising their high rise residences and condominiums to a prospect customer. Making use of their brochures as component of their promoting and advertising, I collected these pieces of paper and minimize the impression of the proposed buildings. I produced my very own model town making use of the pictures from the brochures. Presenting it like a scaled model of a foreseeable future town, the movie animation signifies the uncontrolled sprawling urbanism in Manila.

As the world's most densely populated city with over 46,000 people per square mile (nearly twice that of New York City), Manila is reaching its breaking point. Yet, the capital of the Philippines is still expected to grow by more than 3 million people by 2025. And with the predicted growth comes a host of challenges. Manila may be the Southeast Asian nation's business hub, but economic disparity plagues the city as spiking land prices make housing unaffordable for laborers who earn meager wages.

Walking around Manila especially inside the malls and other establishments, there are many real-estate companies promoting their high rise apartments and condominiums to a prospect buyer. Using their brochures as part of their marketing and advertising, I collected these pieces of paper and cut the image of the proposed buildings. I created my own model city using the pictures from the brochures. Presenting it like a scaled model of a future city, the video animation represents the uncontrolled sprawling urbanism in Manila.
